Spirit Talk Small-Groups

Spirit Talk small-groups are open to men and women of all ages who want to connect their spirituality to their daily life. Members of the group bring issues, events and situations for the group to reflect on. The purpose of the group is to assist individual in naming the sacred/holy/mystery in their own life. For a list of groups and their meeting times, please see the current events page.

For Women...

There are a number of UCW (United Church Women) groups that meet monthly for fellowship, study and service. In addition there is the Betty Jennings Group that serves the social and spiritual needs of some of the other women in the congregation. These groups also play a large role in the mission work, fund-raising and catering to various functions.

For Men...

The Men's Group of Wesley Memorial meets monthly for a breakfast meeting. Following breakfast there is a short devotional time and a presentation by a guest speakers. Following the program a short business meeting is held. The Men's Group seeks to meet the needs of men for quality social time and provide opportunities for service and outreach into the community. Join them for a great meal, some fun and caring.

Service Opportunities

Choir

The Choir, as well as providing music leadership for the Sunday worship services, also offer various musical programs throughout the year. There is always room for one more voice, as they seek to make a "joyful noise."

Bell Choir

The Barbara Boudreau Memorial Handbell Choir is made of of people of all ages and meets weekly for practice and fellowship. A beginner group also meets weekly. As well as playing during worship and at special services throughout the year, the Bell Choir will "take their bells on the road" to share their love of music with others.

Lay Readers

Young and old alike are offered an opportunity to share God's story with other members of the family by reading the Bible passages for the day in the worship service.

Ushers and Door-Greeters
